Purchasing Assistant

We’re adding a Purchasing Assistant to the Binkelman Team!

The Purchasing Assistant is the primary contact for the vendor expedite process. As such, it will be important to establish relationships with key vendors that position the company to receive high-level service and support.

The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Duties

  • Managing open orders
  • Working with vendors to maintaining consistent deliveries
  • Delivering reliable information to internal sales team
  • Providing high-level support and service to our customers as a liaison between customers and vendors
  • Assisting in ensuring all vendor/customer data, pricing and item files are accurate
  • Assisting with buying and sourcing as needed

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Excellent communication, cooperation and coordination with team members, vendors, internal and external customers
  • Must have strong note taking ability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging atmosphere
  • Outstanding attention to detail; ability to multitask and prioritize work
  • Prior sales or purchasing experience preferred
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word)
